I recommended Gordon Korman because I liked to read his funny and interesting books. He is very humorous. On the other hand, I like his passion of writing. I think he always writes books very ardently for the kids.

Lantz, Francess

Francess doesn’t have a pseudonym. Francess Lantz was born on 27th August 1952 New jersey, USA, and died on 22nd November 2004 Santa Barbara, California, USA. She gained a reputation as a tomboy among her friends. “If the author can see the world through a child's eyes and nothing more, his book will be one dimensional and claustrophobic. If he can only view kids from an adult perspective, his story will be manipulative and didactic.”

Naylor, Phyllis Reynolds

Phyllis Reynolds Naylor doesn’t have a pseudonym. Born on January 4, 1933 in Anderson, Indiana, and author of the Alice Series and so many other books. Her children are grown and have families of their own. When she writes a book, she really thinks back to when she was that age. And she observes the kids and what they talk about, how they wear their hair, etc… When asked about what she does in her spare time, she says, "What spare time? If I'm not writing, I'm thinking about writing. If you followed me around for a week, you would see me go on a three-mile walk every morning and swim every afternoon and sometimes play the piano, but all the while, I’m working out a plot in my head."

She lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with her husband, Rex, a speech pathologist, who is the first person to read her stories when they are finished. Her sons, Jeff and Michael, are grown now, but they often enjoy vacations together, in the mountains or at the ocean. When she is not writing, she likes to hike, swim, play the piano, and attend the theater.

Her books are based on things that happened to her, things she has heard or read about, all mixed up with her imagination. The reason I recommend her is because her books seem so real and you never know what is going to happen next.

She has a website http://www.simonsays.com/content/destination.cfm?tab=4&pid=368174, which is a fan website.

Oppel, Kenneth

Kenneth does not have a pseudonym. Kenneth Oppel was born on the 31st of August 1967 in Port Alberni, Vancouver Island. I have good news, he is not dead yet. He was interested in writing when he was twelve, and so he wrote sci-fi epics, then went on to swords and sorcery tales. His stories were shown to Roald Dahl, he didn't hear news, but Roald read them. “I was always interested in welding to the adventure story a more cerebral.”
I recommend this author because he writes for people with ages like us and has loads of imagination which really makes you keep reading.
